The Center for Business and Industry at GTCC is ready to partner with Guilford County businesses and industries to define, prepare and deliver training to your employees.

The mission of the Small Business Center is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in North Carolina by providing high quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners and their employees.

The Division of Public Safety curriculum is designed to provide individuals with the technical and professional knowledge necessary to become employed in the public safety arena as a paramedic, entry-level law enforcement officer with state, county, or municipal governments, or to provide individuals with the knowledge necessary to make decisions regarding fire protection.

Registration for Continuing Education students is ongoing throughout the term. Students may register for classes anytime before the class begins providing seats are available.

Designed with the needs of working adults in mind, our adult high school completion programs are intended for adult learners who do not have a high school diploma from the U.S. or another country.

CED is a community college program designed specifically for adults with mental retardation. CED programs focus on helping the individual become as independent and self-directed as possible through acquiring basic and life skills needed to function independently.

English as a Second Language (ES0L) is a program of instruction designed to help adults, who are limited English proficient, to achieve competence in the English language.

This flexible, self-paced program prepares adults 18 years and older who want to earn a high school equivalency diploma. Students must pass five separate tests: Reading, Writing, Social Studies and Mathematics.

Learning is fun and it helps us to grow as individuals. Always wanted to take a photography class? Need to learn how to sew? Drive a motorcycle? You can find these types of classes and many more at GTCC.
